Karnataka HC recommends Changes to school-office hours...?

The karnataka High court suggested to the state government on tuesday that it investigate the potential for reducing traffic in the city by asking the education secretary to convene a meeting of representatives of private and public schools, school bus operators, and parents' associations to talk about the revision of school timings. The court also ordered the secretary of industries and labour to schedule meetings with representatives of industry associations, factories, industrial organisations, and chambers of commerce to discuss modifying employees' work schedules to reduce congestion in the city. According to the court, the stakeholders may also make recommendations for flexible work schedules or other strategies to reduce traffic.

The decision was made after a public interest lawsuit filed by Samarpana Cultural and Social Organisation regarding the widening of ballari Road from BDA Junction to Mekhri Circle was heard by a division bench consisting of Chief Justice prasanna B Varale and Justice krishna S Dixit.

We're really grateful that the state government allowed us to be experts in this area. We hope that the government will take our suggestions and advice into account since they've already started to calm things down. We give the court the green light to order the necessary measures.
