Top leaders of the telugu desam party (TDP) including former chief minister Kondru Muralimohan, Vizinaagaram district president Kimidi nagarjuna, vizianagaram city president Prasadula Lakshmiprasad, Parvatipuram observer Boina Govindarajulu and others strongly condemned the arrest of the former chief minister and the party's national chairman Chandrababu Naidu. Mr. chandrababu naidu was arrested from Nandyal in a case involving alleged ap Skills Development "fraud".

As news of Mr Naidu's arrest spread, tdp leaders stepped in and organized protests in Rajam, Cheepurupalli, Vizinagaram, Gajapathinagaram and elsewhere. M. Muralimohan, the tdp in charge of Rajam, alleges that the government abused the services of the CID and the police to resolve conflicts with opposition party leaders. He said the people would teach the ruling party a lesson in the upcoming election. Mr. nagarjuna was detained in Cheepurupally, preventing him from participating in the protest.

Several tdp leaders were also arrested from Gajapathinagaram, Gantyada, vizianagaram and other places. Mr. Prasadula Lakshmiprasad said that the YSRCP government is trying to defame Mr. chandrababu naidu when he has a clean record. Mr. Govindarajulu said those officials who colluded with the ruling party leaders will data-face consequences after the tdp comes to power in the general elections of 2024. He said the agitations will continue till when Mr. Naidu was released from detention. This shows the ruling party's higher strength and their upper hand against the Ex-CM.
