Rs 160.97 Crore assistance to 2,11,506 female students so far under Innovation Women Scheme: Tamil Nadu Govt.

The tamil Nadu government has informed that 2,11,506 female students have been given assistance of Rs.
The government of tamil Nadu has issued a statement on the Muvalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher education Guarantee Scheme, "Only educated women can create a society that has achieved economic progress that includes social justice and equality, a noble project that arose in the heart of our prime minister who realized the importance of women's education" Muvalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher education Guarantee - Innovation Woman project”.
Girls from poor families in tamil Nadu are unable to continue their education after completing 12th standard due to financial problems. Therefore, in order not to hamper the education of these girls and to increase their enrollment in higher education, under the Muvalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher education Guarantee Scheme implemented by the Department of Social Welfare and Women's Rights, all the girls studying in government schools from 6th to 12th standard and enrolling in higher education without dropout in degree, diploma and vocational courses. The tamil Nadu government has announced a scheme to provide Rs.1,000 per month till completion.
Eligibility details required to benefit from this scheme:
Students must have studied in tamil Nadu government schools from 6th to 12th standard
Government Schools means panchayat Union Primary and Middle Schools, Adi Dravidar Welfare Schools, Municipal Schools, Corporation Schools, Tribal Welfare Schools, Kallar Seermarapina Schools, Backward/Most Backward Welfare Schools, Disabled Welfare Department Schools, Forest Department Schools, Social Welfare Department Schools etc. can benefit under
Under the Free Compulsory education Scheme, girls studying in private schools in tamil Nadu from 6th to 8th standard through RTE and those studying in government schools from 9th to 12th standard can benefit from this scheme.
1000 per month will be given as scholarship to the girl students who wish to pursue further studies in Bachelor's first, Arts, Science, Professional courses, Paramedical, diploma, ITI, Bachelor's and Master's combined courses.
The scholarship will be given to female students in the first three years of arts and science studies, first four years of engineering studies in vocational courses and first to fifth year of medical education.
No stipend will be provided for the training period.
Even if there is more than one female student in the same household, assistance can be availed under this scheme.
This scholarship will be given to the students who are studying in the college.
Those studying in postal education or non-recognized educational institutions are not eligible for scholarship under this scheme.
A special feature of this scheme is that students who are getting financial assistance under other schemes can also get scholarship under this scheme.
Students who are already enrolled in higher education can also apply for this scholarship for the remaining years of study.
A new redesigned website (https://www.pudhumaipenn.tn.gov.in) has been developed for the scheme. students can register under this scheme with the coordinator of the college where they are pursuing higher education.

Muvalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher education “Innovative women Project” was launched by the chief minister on 05.09.2022 as the first phase and on 08.02.2023 as the 2nd phase and is being implemented well.
About 1.16,260 female students studying higher education in government schools in the first phase and 93,105 female students in the second phase have benefited Rs. 100.11 crore has been given as incentive.
Also, out of the allocation of Rs.349.78 crore for the financial year 2023-2024 under this scheme, out of which Rs.60.86 crore has been spent till date, about 2,11,506 girl students are benefiting.
So from the day this scheme was started, Rs. 160.97 crore has been given as cash benefit to the students. The students applying under the New women Program have been given a facility to register their grievances. There is no room for an alternative opinion that the 'Innovative Girl' scheme implemented by the tamil Nadu government will encourage students and education and will bring great benefits that no one can deny in the future."
