C Vijayakumar, a deputy inspector general of police (Coimbatore range), committed suicide on friday morning at his camp office in the Race Course region of tamil Nadu. He reportedly shot himself in the head with his service handgun. According to reports, vijayakumar took a stroll this morning before showing up at his camp office at 6:45. When he arrived, he asked his Personal Security Officer (PSO) to surrender his gun. After leaving the workplace with the gun, he shot himself to death at about 6:50 a.m. Senior police officers were promptly contacted by colleagues working in the camp office, who quickly dispatched them to the spot.Suicide Reasons That Might Exist - According to sources close to Vijayakumar, he had been having difficulties sleeping for a few weeks and was very depressed.
