In this case, director Pa. Ranjith has condemned this attack. In this regard, on his twitter page, he said, "The firing on azad in broad daylight is a caste crime. Ambedkar thinker azad, who has been giving a strong voice against the caste injustices in the country. Especially in Uttar Pradesh where Dalit community is large, azad has been recording his voice against the violence against them.
