Minister Muthuswamy said that steps will be taken to close Tasmac shops near temples and educational institutions. minister of Housing and Prohibition S.Muthusamy yesterday inspected the Tasmac Liquor Store in Katirampatti, Erode. He then told reporters: We have held discussions with the union executives regarding the issues of Tasmac employees. In this, we have heard about the demands of the employees and suggestions regarding the management of Tasmac.

If the public complains about Tasmac shops operating in temples, schools, and high traffic areas, action will be taken to remove them. It was alleged that a few Tasmac shops were selling liquor at Rs 10 more than the price. Action is being taken against those involved in such activities. The employees who worked in the 500 Tasmac stores that are currently closed have been transferred to other stores.

It is not the government's intention to increase Tasmac sales. The intention of the government is to regulate the sale taking place. We are thinking of making huge changes in Tasmac.
