World Environment Day: Let's Go green!!!

All the objects around us, both living and non-living, interact with ourselves and one another to form our environment. Environments change over time to support harmonious coexistence. When one or more elements reproduce out of control, the environmental equilibrium is skewed. Every year on june 5, people all across the world observe World Environment Day to promote environmental protection. We'll look at the topic for this year, the origins of the holiday, and its significance below.

The hashtag #BeatPlasticPollution used on social media to promote the 2023 World Environment Day subject of "Beat Plastic Pollution." The pollution caused by plastic is out of control. To control them and replace them with environmentally beneficial products, immediate action is required.

Over 400 million tonnes of plastic are manufactured annually worldwide, according to the UN. Only 10% of it is recycled, and 50% of it is single-use plastic. These plastic wastes eventually make their way into the ocean, lakes, and rivers, endangering aquatic life. Even on Mount Everest, plastic trash and microplastics have been discovered.

According to studies, microplastics or plastic particles have even gotten into our bloodstreams through breathing, eating contaminated food, and drinking water. Plastics' chemical additives have been linked to cancer, diabetes, obesity, asthma, endocrine disruption, neurodevelopmental abnormalities, and even reproductive issues. In particular, they build up in our lungs, liver, kidneys, and spleen over time.
