Indian army Day Today: First Time Since 1949...

The 75th army Day has never been celebrated anywhere other than delhi since the events' founding in 1949. For the first time, the army Day parade, which was previously held in delhi, would be held in Bengaluru at Parade Ground, MEG & Center instead of the national capital.

PM Modi Tweet: I send my best greetings to all soldiers, veterans, and their families on this army Day. Every indian is proud of our army and grateful to our heroes. They have constantly kept our nation safe and are well-known for helping out when people are in need.

The army Service Corps (ASC) Tornadoes will conduct a risky motorbike stunt after the parade is reviewed and gallantry medals are awarded. Then the Paratroopers will demonstrate skydiving, perform perilous leaps, and the army Aviation Corps will fly past with its helicopters.

Every year on january 15, the army Day is observed to mark the day when General (Later Field Marshal) KM Carriappa, the first indian army commander, succeeded General Sir Francis Robert Roy Bucher as the final british Commander-in-Chief of the indian army in 1949. The celebrations are being overseen this year by the Southern Command, which has its headquarters in Pune.
