Section 30 Of Police Act Is Known, In Force Too!

G GOWTHAM
N chandrababu naidu, the leader of the tdp and a former chief minister for more than 14 years, challenges the andhra pradesh government's GO RT 1 that places limitations on public gatherings and assemblies. It is acceptable for other leaders to criticise this GO and refer to it as a black GO, but it is unacceptable for a leader who served as chief minister for more than ten years to do so.
According to Section 30 of the police Act of 1861, the GO was issued. There are several additional Acts that were created under the british occupation and are still in effect today. Every politician is aware of Section 30 of the police Act because prohibitory orders are regularly issued in towns and cities. Any political party or group must obtain police approval before holding demonstrations or gatherings under these rules. The GO further states that in order to hold meetings and rallies, political parties or other groups must first obtain permission.
One is left to wonder how chandrababu naidu could criticise the GO given that it was in place the entire time he served as chief minister. chandrababu naidu implemented Section 30 in each of the villages when he began land pooling in amaravati in 2016 and continued to do so till the end of his term in May 2019. During his time as chief minister, he prohibited the Left party leaders from visiting the villages in Amaravati.
