Football legend Pele Passes Away...

There may not be a larger artist in the entire world than him if playing football is considered an art form. Pele was one of the first sports celebrities whose fame transcended national data-borders. Pele created a remarkable legacy with three world cup victories, 784 goals that have been officially recognised, and his role as an inspiration to football fans all over the world. FIFA has only acknowledged 784 of his goals, despite the fact that he has scored over 1200.

Edson Arantes do Nascimento i.e. Pele was born in 1940. He was a pioneer in bringing football to its pinnacle of popularity and expanding its market. Because of his fame, when he visited kolkata in 1977, it appeared as though the entire city had come to a standstill. Additionally, he went to india in 2015 and 2018.

The country's image was changed in difficult times

He was born in a country where censorship, corruption, military coups, and political tyranny were commonplace. However, Pele, just 17 years old, transformed Brazil's reputation in 1958 during his first World Cup. He scored six goals in four games at the tournament that was held in Sweden, including two goals in the championship match. He launched a long streak of achievement by guiding brazil to a 5-2 victory over the hosts. Pele was a favourite of politicians and was named one of the greatest footballers of all time by FIFA.
