Box Office - Two Big Films Unable To Stop This Remake

After the colossal failure of remakes of telugu and tamil films like Jersey, HIT, Bachhan Panday, Cuttputli, and Nikamma, bollywood people believe that the time for doing so is over. Drishyam 2, a malayalam film remake, disproved everyone's predictions with its effortless 200+ crores nett box office success and the movie is still moving at a rampage speed in Box Office.

Despite Drishyam 2's impressive box office performance, trade analysts predicted that the coming of avatar 2 and Rohit Shetty's Cirkus would terminate the film's illustrious reign. To no one's surprise, Drishyam 2 appears to be continuing its unstoppable run despite Cirkus' failure to take off and avatar 2's mixed ratings. avatar 2 never did enough at bollywood box office and so far, most of the indian BO revenues are from telugu speaking states only.

While avatar 2 is earning double digits, Cirkus generated more than 6 crores nett per day during its opening weekend. Despite the competition, Drishyam 2 is bringing in close to one crore net on weekends. Even if this remake's box office earnings have reached 225+ crores nett, it still has a chance to do well until Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan is released at the tail end of january 2023.
