According to him, the release of the movie in the state would likely be delayed if the colour of the outfits is not modified and some scenes aren't included. "The song's video was produced by tainted minds. Correct the visuals and the outfits, else granting approval for the release of the movie won't be a thought-out thing," the minister said. "Even deepika is a supporter of this Tukde Tukde Gang after she attended those JNU rallies.

Besharam is currently trending on YouTube with millions of views, and numerous offensive memes around the song are being circulated. On january 5th, Pathaan, starring Shahrukh and Deepika, will be released in theatres.
