Actor Vijay, who has finished acting in Varisu, will next act in Thalapathy 67 directed by lokesh Kanagaraj. trisha is set to star opposite actor Vijay in the film which has a gangster story. Apart from this, it is also reported that many villains will be cast in the film. For this, lokesh kanagaraj is in talks with many leading actors. 
So far only sanjay dutt has been confirmed. Similarly, lokesh kanagaraj tried to cast actor vishal as the villain in the film. For this, Mark Antony went to the shooting spot of the film and he met and talked with Vishal. It was said that vishal is sure to act in the film, but now vishal has categorically denied it. Actor Vishal's movie Lathi is releasing on december 22.
 During the promotion of the film, he also revealed the reason why he refused to act in Thalapathy 67. Accordingly, after the release of Lathi, he is not able to give a date for Thalapathy 67 as he is busy with Mark Antony's film,
Thupparivalan 2 shooting, and a film produced by karthik Subbaraj. This is what he told lokesh when he approached him. However, in the future, he would like to meet Vijay and tell him the story and direct a film with him, said Vishal.
