ED Admits To Have Seized Cash, Docs From NRI Academy
According to the ED, during the raids, some people provided them with critical information, and some supporting papers were also taken. The ED discovered that several officials had misused Academy funding intended for infrastructure projects. The ED reported that there were no bills for the funds obtained from the Covid 19 patients and discovered that some people had obtained sizable sums of money from students for MBBS admissions.
The administrators discovered that the amount of money collected from pupils exceeded what was indicated in the Academy's accounting documents. Additionally, it was discovered that they had stolen money from the Academy and established NRIAS Private Limited. According to ED officials, they have gathered data and seized documents relating to these violations, which fall under the purview of the Money Laundering Act.
