Directed by Vamshi, the film stars rashmika mandanna as the heroine. Also, the movie has a huge star cast like Khushbu, Prakash Raj, Shyam, Samyukta, Prabhu, and Sangeeta. 
The film has been produced by famous tollywood producer dil Raju. Varisu is slated to release in theaters on january 12th for the pongal festival. Varisu is releasing as a competitor to actor Ajith's Thunivu. After almost 9 years, the Vijay-Ajith starrer films are coming face to face and the expectations for both films are increasing day by day.
Thaman has composed music for Varisu. Ranjithame song sung by actor Vijay in this film has already been released and it is now hitting the dance floors. The song has over 65 million views on YouTube. In this case, an update about the next song of Varisu has been released. According to it, actor simbu has sung a song for the film. According to reports, the song was recorded two days ago and the team will release the song next month. It is to be noted that the music launch of Varisu is going to be held on december 23 at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai.
