Chinese citizens not safe in Pakistan??

Amid growing concerns about the safety of Chinese citizens working on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, pakistan and china have agreed to use bullet-proof vehicles for the movement of Chinese workers. "It has been decided that bullet-proof vehicles will be used for all Chinese nationals working on the projects when they go out," said the draft minutes of the 11th Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) of the CPEC.
It may be noted that pakistan and china did not sign the 11th JCC minutes during the two-day visit of prime minister Shahbaz Sharif to beijing earlier this week, while the minutes were signed immediately after the first JCC. Planning minister Ahsan Iqbal had said after the meeting that the minutes would be signed during the Prime Minister's visit, The Express Tribune reported.
"Some MoUs including the minutes of the JCC could not be signed due to the very short visit of only 24 hours," the minister said. "Around 17 meetings were held in 24 hours, leaving no time for some other important events," he said. He said that either a delegation will go to china soon or they will be signed virtually. The two sides have also agreed to strengthen the capabilities of law-enforcement agencies and investigators, The Express Tribune reported.
To expedite the investigation of crimes involving Chinese nationals, it was decided that the National Forensic Science Agency (NFSA) would be created on modern lines. The Pakistani side requested Chinese support for the complete up-gradation of the National Forensic Science Laboratory in Islamabad. According to the draft minutes, the Chinese side assured its full support for the purpose, 'The Express Tribune reported.
