Common people disappointed in Cylinder price..!?
On the first day of november amid rising inflation, there were high expectations that cooking gas prices might be cut, but to the disappointment of the common man, there was no such announcement. On the contrary, the price of cylinders used for commercial use has decreased. However, such action by oil companies is expected to reduce inflation. The price of a cylinder for commercial use has decreased by Rs 115.50. This is the 7th reduction in the price of commercial cylinders since last June. While the price is falling in the international market, the price is also falling in India. The price of a 19 kg cylinder has seen a decline of Rs 610 since june alone. This will definitely help to bring inflation under control.
Amid the reduction in cylinder prices, the current price in delhi is expected to drop from Rs 1,859 per 19 kg to Rs 1,744. The price of 19 kg commercial cylinders in kolkata will come down to Rs 1846 from Rs 1959. Similarly, the price of a 19 kg cylinder in mumbai has come down from Rs 1811.50 to Rs 1696. The price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder in chennai has come down to Rs 1893 from Rs 2009.50.
The price of commercial cylinders was reduced last october 1 as well. This too was reported by oil companies amid a slump in the international market. However, the fact that the price of the 14.2 kg cylinders used for cooking has not decreased is also disappointing. It was earlier last cut on May 19, 2022. As of now no change in price has been made.
It is being sold for Rs 1053 in delhi and Rs 1079, Rs 1052.5, and Rs 1068.5 in kolkata, mumbai, and chennai respectively. The price varies from state to state depending on the VAT of the state governments. As commercial cylinders are used in many places like hotels, tea shops, institutions, etc., this price reduction will be beneficial for traders and shoppers.
