Dwayne Johnson tells how the unexpected Black Adam cameo came about and says that it was his idea. Johnson has been associated with the role of Black Adam for Warner Bros. for more than ten years, and this week, his standalone feature makes its global debut in theatres, officially bringing him into the DCEU. Johnson was originally expected to show up in the Shazam! the hollywood megastar persuaded the company to allow the two DC legends to star in their own standalone movies and team up for a battle in a later plot.

The sad origin tale of Teth-Adam is explored in Black Adam, which depicts how a slave from the Kahndaq people gains godlike abilities and awakens in the present day after being imprisoned for 5,000 years. Johnson has been teasing and keeping true to his promise for years that Black Adam's live-action debut will fundamentally alter the balance of power in the DC Universe, including taking on the Justice League. While Black Adam firmly establishes Dwayne Johnson's persona, it also solidifies its place in the wider DCEU, especially its colossal post-credits scene, which showcases Henry Cavill's Superman's comeback.
