TRS receives Rs 193 cr in 2021-22 as contribution
According to the trs report, electoral bonds accounted for the majority of the party's funding. In contrast to the Rs 40 crore it received from various Electoral trusts, it received Rs 90 lakh from people, businesses, or institutions. During the years 2021–2022, trs also collected Rs 1,53,00,00,000 through electoral bonds. On the other side, for the fiscal year 2021–2022, the tdp received Rs 62,90,120 from 24 different donors. The poll panel has suggested lowering anonymous political donations from Rs 20,000 to Rs 2,000 in an effort to promote openness and improvements in the funds received by political parties. In a recent letter to the Union Law Ministry, the election commission made several recommendations for changes to the Representation of the people (RP) Act.
All donations over Rs 2,000 would be included in the contribution report sent to the Commission in the event that the proposal is approved. According to a recent contribution report from the jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), the state's ruling party, the party only collected Rs 1 lakh during the 2021–2022 fiscal year. JMM is not the only political party with minimum contributions of more than Rs 20,000. The Bahujan Samaj party (BSP) previously told the election commission that it did not receive any donations from individuals or organisations totaling more than Rs 20,000 during the fiscal year 2021–2022.
