"The approach canal and spill path must be finished before the coffer dams can be constructed. However, consider the wit of this man, who asserts to have 40 years of political experience and 14 years of state leadership. Even as an MLA, he is unsuitable to serve, according to the chief minister. He emphasised that the approach channel, spillway, and even top coffer dams were incomplete due to the Naidu administration. As a result of the holes in the coffer dams, Godavari water could not be diverted towards the spillway, and as a result, the diaphragm wall was swept away, according to Jagan.

As promised, he said, "keeping dam security in mind, we have given directives to enhance the compensation to Rs 10 lakh from Rs 6.86 lakhs of the previous government with the reservoir height recorded at 41.15 metres. He stated that out of the 1,06,006 project evacuees, 20,946 families fall under the 41.15-meter reservoir level, of which 14,110 families have already received compensation payments totaling Rs 19,060 crore, and that efforts are being made to pay the remaining families an amount that will be deposited directly into their bank accounts.

Jagan claimed that Naidu's ineffective leadership had caused the Centre to withhold Rs 2,900 crore because it botched the project's progress by accepting a special package that wasn't there. He further stated that the State is working to correct the errors made by the previous administration. "Once the rains leave, we will pick up the work from november on a war-footing," he said.
