Buzz: Shocking Disaster After 'Liger'

G GOWTHAM
In actuality, "Liger" is a pan-Indian movie that, as a result of its appalling box office performance, has hit the dust everywhere. The first three days after its premiere, Indraganti Mohana Krishna's "Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali" vanished from theatres without a trace, despite the fact that there is no comparison in terms of the scope of the project and the expectations surrounding it. The collections are not at all decent in the first weekend.

The collections in many theatres didn't even reach the four-figure mark. This outcome can be attributable to a variety of factors, including a weak plot, monotonous narration, and a dearth of catchy tunes. The cost of making this movie was around Rs 12 Cr. Since it was produced under the Mythri Movies name, the non-theatrical rights may have been partially preserved. The timing of the film's distribution was off. When they ultimately released against advances, they had initially quoted greater costs. The producers now suffered a Rs 3 Cr loss from the theatrical release.

The other two movies this week, "Sakini Dakini" and "Nenu meeku baga kavalsina vaaidni," also performed poorly at the box office. However, the Sakini Dakini producers were smart businesspeople since they sold all of the non-theatrical rights well in advance and at a fair price. But since the non-theatrical rights haven't been sold yet either, "Nenu meeku kavalsina vadini" will have to endure significant losses.
