Nora Fatehi questioned by Delhi EoW in Sukesh Chandrashekhar case
In relation to a Rs 200 crore extortion case that reportedly included conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, the Economic Offences Wing (EoW) of the delhi police interrogated actress nora fatehi for more than nine hours on friday in its delhi office. Nora was questioned about Sukesh Chandrashekhar and the gifts she received from him for a total of 50 or so times.
According to police sources speaking to ANI, Fatehi, who was called on september 2, showed up at the EOW headquarters on Mandir Marg at 11 am. Her attorney was with her at all times. The actress was questioned until around 8 p.m., at which point she reportedly fled. police sources stated that she has been informed that she may be summoned back in for further questioning. "She just got back from Dubai. Questions about Sukesh Chandrashekhar and the gifts she received from him were put to her. She was also questioned about everyone she had spoken to on the phone during that time, "a senior police officer stated.
According to police officials, inquiries have revealed that Nora and Jacqueline Fernandez, who has also been connected to Sukesh Chandrashekhar, were not aware of one another's receipt of presents. Leena Maria Paul, Chandrashekhar's wife, who was later detained for her involvement in the scam, approached Nora. "She had reached out to Nora via a manager for a nail art event, and as the two of them became closer, Chandrashekhar sent Nora gifts like a bmw and high-end phones. Nora has also made it plain that she was unaware of Chandrashekhar's imprisonment or the fact that the presents were obtained using the proceeds of crime. She added that she hadn't visited Chandrashekhar in custody either "the policeman stated.
