Suspended BJP MLA Raja Singh arrested again
On Thursday, hyderabad police detained bjp mla raja Singh, who had been suspended, hours after serving him with summons in two previous incidents. In the midst of ongoing rallies calling for his re-arrest for allegedly uttering disparaging remarks about the Prophet Mohammad, police hauled up the mla from his home. A short time before being detained, the mla made a video in which he accused telangana minister K. T. Rama Rao of inciting communal unrest in hyderabad by allowing comedian Munawar Faruqui to perform there.
A few hours after police personnel from Shaninayathgunj and Mangalhat police station issued the notifications in accordance with Section 41A of the criminal Procedure Code, the contentious mla was taken into custody. Both notices were sent out in relation to older incidents. In response to a complaint filed in february alleging that a video that went viral during the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections threatened voters there, Mangalhat police have given a warning.
