Did Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan get sold to Netflix for a whopping Rs 120 crore?
The recent information that Netflix has purchased the streaming rights to Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie Jawan for a staggering Rs 120 crore has gone viral online. After almost four years, SRK is back on the big screen with this movie. Following the failure of his most recent movie, Zero, at the box office, he took a vacation. The badshah of bollywood will appear in not one, but three movies in 2023 after a protracted sabbatical from the big screen.
These include Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki with Taapsee Pannu, siddharth Anand's Pathaan for yash Raj Films, and Atlee's Jawan. deepika padukone and john abraham also appear in Pathaan. However, there has been a lot of anticipation about Jawan ever since it was announced. This is the first time Shah Rukh Khan has worked with Nayanthara and filmmaker Atlee. He stated: "In all honesty, it's too early to say how much the streaming rights to Jawan were bought for. It is assumed that it would have joined red Chillies Entertainment's other films on Netflix. They appear to be collaborators with Netflix on a continuing basis. It's still too early to determine the exact price they chose. But I wouldn't be astonished if it sold for an incredible, stratospheric sum with a cast like that, with Shah Rukh Khan and atlee for an unstoppable show."
