Nearly three years after being removed from his duties, senior indian Police service officer and former andhra pradesh intelligence chief A B Venkateshwara Rao finally returned to work on Friday. He took over as the department's commissioner for printing, stationery, and retail purchases. He informed the media that he was overjoyed to be back in duty after a three-year absence.

"I don't believe this to be a pointless or loopline post. According to Venkateshwara Rao, the government will appoint people at its discretion and in accordance with the needs of the department. But he admitted that he didn't fully comprehend the printing and stationery division. The Muthyalampadu government printing press, where government directives, textbooks, and gazette notifications used to be printed, was given a lot of prominence during the combined andhra pradesh rule.

"This printing press has lost its lustre since the state was divided and as a result of the development of contemporary technologies. But after speaking with the staff, I'll investigate the problem and see how I can best strengthen the systems here," he said. Venkateshwara Rao visited the region of the printing press and spoke with the workers there. Almost a month after being returned in the service as a result of a supreme court order, Venkateshwar Rao was awarded the appointment of Commissioner, Printing, Stationery & Stores Purchase Department on Wednesday. Even though he arrived for work on May 19, he didn't receive a posting until Wednesday.
