VIKRAM Movie Review - Fahadh Faasil Saves this Action Thriller

SIBY JEYYA
The movie starts off on a thriller mode where we see Kamal gets Killed by some masked men and Fahad enters the scene to investigate the murders. The Masked men continue to kill people and at the same time a cocaine container goes missing wchich is worht 2 Lakh Crores. Fahad and team starts to dig out the connections and they find vijay sethupathi as the mob leader who is having a hub for several illegal activities. He has three wives and a 67 member huge family. We get a solid twist at the interval and post-interval all we have is guns blazing and top-notch action sequences. Finally, after all bloodshed and guns, movie ends on a high with Suriya entering the stage as the main villain for second part.

Vikram is a thriller that starts off serious and never lets up. The writing and intriguing sections keep the audience's attention, and it all comes to a satisfying conclusion with a satisfying interval. The only drawback is the length, which can make the story tedious at times. For a thriller, it's far too long and excessive. The entire movie is saved by Fahadh Faasil right from the first frame.

Be it romance or action or emotions, FaFa has nailed it strongly and he has dominated Kamal Haasan. kamal haasan was just doing a cameo role until Interval and he appears later on firing guns and saving his grandson and daughter-in-law. vijay sethupathi should have given his worst ever performance. He looks bloated and in his opening scene when he walks out shirtless with blood stains we get a doubt if he's a mafia leader or Meat Stall worker. He gets super powers like 'Iru Mugan' vikram after eating a drug chocolate and things are worse sometimes in Loki's writing.

Technical wise the movie is strong with a top-notch cinematography and Anirudh's elevating musical score. Anbariv's stunts are daring and gives goosebumps. However, this movie is no way near to Kamal Haasan's 'Vettayaadu Vilayaadu' or Lokesh's 'Kaithi'. Even the connecting point of introducing 'Kaithi' movie is useless. Just because both the movies deal with drug bust, lokesh must have planned that at last minute and we hope if there's a second part we can see Kamal together with Suriya and Karthi.
