How dare you remove Gandhi Statue?

G GOWTHAM
In 1985, a statue of gandhi was constructed in pollachi, on the road connecting coimbatore, Udumalai, Valparai, Palladam, and Palakkad. The public and national devotees, as well as political groups, came to pay homage to the gandhi statue by wearing garlands on days such as Independence Day, Republic Day, and gandhi Jayanti. One of the city's landmarks was the gandhi statue area.

For the highway widening construction that took place two years ago, the gandhi statue was removed and maintained at the governor's office. The enlargement construction has now been completed, and vehicular traffic is already flowing. However, the gandhi statue has not been re-erected in its place. The pollachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, for example, has urged that the gandhi statue be re-erected at the same location.

Pollachi mp met coimbatore District collector GS Sameeran yesterday to discuss the situation. K. Shanmugasundar petitioned for the re-erection of Gandhi's statue in the same location. The collector promised him that an order to establish would be issued at the same location. As a result, a circular has been issued stating that the 'Hippocratic' pledge should only be obtained from the tamil Nadu Directorate of Medical education following the pledge dispute the day before yesterday.
