In the Thor: love & Thunder trailer, Natalie Portman's Mighty Thor makes only a brief appearance, but she's already serving humble pie to any naysayers. Kevin Feige made us wait a long time, but the Thor: love & Thunder trailer is now here. The promo's unquestionable centrepiece is a last sting of Natalie Portman's Jane Foster, now outfitted in Asgardian armour and wielding a glued-together Mjolnir as "Mighty Thor," overtaking Zeus, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and everything else revealed. Jane is no longer a one-dimensional source of exposition and a boring love interest, and there's no context or reason for this. She simply catches Mjolnir and strikes a pose with him.
Natalie Portman's return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a superhero was first announced in July 2019, sparking a wave of anticipation for this new take on Jane Foster, but not everyone was enthusiastic.
