IT department not involved in Siva Karthikeyan - Gnanavel Raja issue

Because actor Sivakarthikeyan has nothing to do with the dispute between him and producer Gnanavelarajah, the Income Tax Department has filed a reply in the chennai High court requesting his removal from the case. In a lawsuit filed in the chennai High court by actor Sivakarthikeyan, producer Gnanavel raja was hired in July 2018 to make a Mr. local film featuring me, with a salary of Rs 15 crore. Only 11 crore rupees were paid when the film was released in May 2019. Salary arrears totaling 4 crores are still to be paid.

Gnanavelarajah, who had seized DDS worth Rs. 11 crore, had previously filed a complaint against a notification requesting payment of TDS worth Rs. 91 lakhs. As a result, I must direct the producer Gnanavelaraja to pay me Rs 4 crore in wage arrears as well as the preferred amount to the Income Tax Department. The petition asks for a moratorium on new investments in GV Prakash's Rebel, Vikram's Zion 61, simbu and gautam Karthik's Ten Heads, and guarantees of theatrical release and ODT distribution rights till the money is paid.

Judge M. Sundar heard the case for the second time today. The Income Tax Department, the respondent in the Sivakarthikeyan case, then submitted a response. We learn nothing about the issues between Sivakarthikeyan and Gnanavelaraja in the reply petition filed on behalf of Income Tax Officer Damodaran. It was a competition between the two of them. This has nothing to do with the Internal Revenue Service.
