Phase 4 Has 5 MCU Characters Who Can Lift Mjolnir
Despite Mjolnir's rarity in the MCU, five characters in Marvel's Phase 4 can lift it, including Thor: love and Thunder's new incarnation of Thor. Initially, only Thor was worthy of lifting Mjolnir, but as the MCU grows in data-size, more and more powerful heroes are able to match the enchanted hammer's requirements. While some of these characters have been around for a while and others have yet to appear, all five of them will appear in Phase 4 and will be able to lift Mjolnir.
Mjolnir is a mythological weapon that was created in the centre of a dying star and first seen in the MCU in Thor. Odin the Allfather passed the weapon down to his son Thor, but after Thor was exiled from Asgard, Odin cast an enchantment on Mjolnir that allows only those judged worthy to use it. Thor continued to utilise Mjolnir after proving himself worthy of it until it was destroyed by his sister Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. However, a Mjolnir from an alternate reality reappeared in Avengers: Endgame, proving that it was not lost forever.
Few in the MCU have been able to lift Mjolnir, therefore being worthy of doing so is a difficult task. Odin, Hela, Captain America, and the original Vision are the only characters to have lifted Mjolnir so far, with a remarkably sturdy coat hook in Thor: The Dark World rounding off the list. They're the only ones in the entire MCU who've done it before, which is a statement to how powerful some of the Phase 4 characters are that they've now joined such an exclusive club.
