The Hosur Forest Reserve hosted the second round of the Bird survey for the year 2022. The Hosur Forest Reserve covers a total area of 1,501 square kilometres. Is. The forest department is currently organising three waves of bird surveys across tamil Nadu. As a result, on february 13th, the wetlands outside the reserves of the Hosur Forest Reserve, such as Hosur Ramnayakan Lake, Parur Lake, and K.R.P. Lake, were closed to the public. In a bird study done in 25 water bodies, including the dam, Kelavarapalli dam, and Tali lake, more than 200 bird species were recognised and documented.


This was followed by the second phase of the bird survey today. The bird survey was conducted in the Hosur Forest Reserve Cauvery North Wildlife Sanctuary and in the 16-foot reserve in the Urigam and Anchetti forests in the Cauvery Chinnaru catchment area.
