The Samajwadi party won 111 seats on its own.

Akilesh said, "My best wishes to the new government on the foundation laid by the Samajwadi Party. The oath isn't merely for the establishment of a state. people should be served by the government as well. However, soon after the election, the central bjp government boosted petrol and diesel prices."
