Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny sentenced to 9 years in prison

A Russian court has sentenced Russia's opposition leader Alexei Navalny to nine years in prison for fraud and contempt of court. Alexei was charged with embezzling funds from his anti-corruption trust in 2013. In the case, a moscow court sentenced him to three years in prison last year. For the past few months, Alexei has been on a hunger strike in prison to protest his punishment.
