Dileep is the main suspect in a criminal conspiracy case in which he is suspected of plotting to harm investigators working on the 2017 malayalam starlet rape case. He is the seventh defendant in the abduction and assault case. Attempts were made to silence and smear the survivor over the course of these five years. Although the starlet hasn't performed in mollywood since 2017, Dileep's reputation has remained unaffected.

When was she Assaulted?

Bhavana was abducted and sexually raped in a moving automobile near Kochi, Kerala, on february 17, 2017. Five men kidnapped her and recorded the whole thing. According to reports, the survivor was the one who informed Manju about Dileep's relationship with artist Kavya Madhavan. In their tumultuous divorce, the survivor sided with Manju.

85 Days in Prison for Dileep

The investigators interrogated dileep and his director-friend Nadirsha for 14 hours in june 2017. He was detained on june 19 of that year and held at the Aluva sub-jail. He was released on bail on october 3, 2017, after his bail petition was repeatedly rejected. The investigating team designated dileep as the ninth accused in the 650-page criminal complaint. Meanwhile, a number of actors have shown their support for the survivor.

Many actors, including Rema Kallingal, Manju Warrier, and parvathi Menon, have openly backed the victim over the years. Because of Dileep's clout, the majority of them have lost their jobs as a result. In the lawsuit, around 50 people of the malayalam movie industry have been called as witnesses.
