Bogi Festival : 1000 Rs fine if you burn Plastic and Tires

Those who burn old plastics and tires at the Bogi festival data-face a punishment of Rs.1000, according to the corporation administration. The Bogi celebration, which is the beginning of the pongal festival, is approaching, and the entire city of chennai has been advised not to burn plastic or tires. Every year, the chennai Corporation sends a warning. This time, though, it has also imposed fine-imposition rules.


At the Bogi festival, an order has been issued prohibiting the burning of plastic objects in breach of the guidelines. Burning in violation of the rules will result in a punishment of Rs.1000, according to the corporation administration. The corporation has also directed officials to step up surveillance in all zones. A team has been formed to monitor every area inside chennai to track those who make unwanted pollution.


Bhogi is the opening day of the Makara sankranti celebration, which lasts four days. It is traditionally observed on january 13th, according to the Gregorian calendar. It is a popular festival in the southern states. On Bhogi, individuals reject old and abandoned items in favour of new ones, resulting in change or transition. people start bonfires early in the morning with logs of wood, other solid fuels, and old wooden furniture from their homes.
