Plan Panni Pannanum Review - A Fun Ride for Half Way
Plan Panni Pannanum has all of the ingredients for a quirky comedy, and the film succeeds to keep us entertained for the first half of the movie with hilarious people and their amusing situations. However, the picture struggles with an unnecessary detour in the second half, which explores the challenges of its female lead, her ambition, and the love perspective. Sembi (Rio Raj) and Raju (Bala Saravanan) are former coworkers who have become friends. The latter's sister has eloped with someone, and they abduct Aambal (Remya Nambeesan), who assisted Raju's sister in fleeing with her boyfriend.
Sembi and Raju learn that the latter's sister is staying in Aambal's village and is getting married the next day. Raju, Sembi, and Aambal, as well as two comedic sidekicks (Robo shankar and Thangadurai), have decided to travel from chennai to a village near Kodaikanal. Is it possible for them to call off the wedding? Is Ambal allowed to travel to the united states to follow her dreams? As previously stated, the first half is highly entertaining, and the proceedings keep us laughing the entire time. Even the first twenty minutes of the second half are fine, but the picture falls flat once the director begins to explore the subplots with Aambal's parents and their shared enemy.
Rio raj and Balasaravanan have a fantastic chemistry on screen and excelled in their respective parts. Remya is good, while robo shankar and Munishkanth are also good. Along with Balasaravanan and Rio Raj, Thangadurai is in top form. The movie isn't technically sound, and the photography and music are only passable. The film could have easily been cut by twenty minutes to make it more concise. Overall, Plan Panni Pannanum is a mediocre comedy with some funny parts but a weak second half.
