GST on auto Fare# ola tariff goes up on january 1??

It has been reported that GST will be levied on car, auto, and taxi services registered online as the public is affected by inflation. The Goods and services Tax (GST) will be increased from january 1 in the coming New Year, from january 1. A new GST is to be levied on certain goods and services which have so far been outside the GST tax bracket. That way, customers will have to pay more to get a processor-based online booking service like ola or Uber.

At the last GST Council meeting in 2021, several decisions were taken regarding taxes. For example, the GST on readymade garments and shoes below Rs 1,000 has been raised from 5 percent to 12 percent.  At the same time, the GST on Online Food Order will now be levied on the delivery service provider instead of the restaurant. Apart from this, it has been decided to levy GST on auto Fare for autos booked through processor-based cab service providers.

This decision of the government may increase the auto-tariff burden of the common man. To escape the toll robbery of auto drivers, customers want to book processor-based Ola-Uber autos online. But after this decision, you will now have to pay five percent more than before to make this reservation. The new GST will also be available for online booking of buses from january 1.
