Farmers Protest: Tractor Rally Cancelled...!
The farmers' organizations have announced that the tractor rally scheduled to be held in parliament on the 29th of this month has been postponed and there will be no new protests till the next meeting on december 4.
New Delhi: Farmers 'organizations have decided to continue the farmers' protest on the data-border.
The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the Joint Kisan Morcha today.
The farmers also blamed the government for not being ready for talks. At the same time, the Union minister said that the state governments could decide on withdrawing the cases taken against the farmers during the strike.
Agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar said the states could also decide on compensation.
The central government, which was adamant that it would not withdraw the amendment at any stage despite the intervention of the supreme Court, was finally forced to kneel before the farmers' determination.
But the farmers are adamant that the strike will be a complete success only if it gets a legal guarantee at the minimum support price and then ends the strike.
