Velachery, a suburb of chennai, was once a vast area, a map of which has gone viral on social media. chennai was once a village. Back then there were a lot of lakes and ponds here. However, after chennai became a major city, the lakes were rapidly blocked and converted into residential areas. At present chennai is awake with twice the population beyond its full capacity.The water inside residences - Now when it rains the floodwaters go to the areas where the lakes were. This is what going on in the series.Korratur Lake - This is how the lake in the Korattur area was slightly occupied and now like a puddle it has changed. If this is a page then the area that was on the map of chennai in 1980 called Velachery Lake is now seen as full-fledged buildings. Photographs taken in 1996 show that more than three-quarters of Velachery Lake was occupied and only a few parts of the lake remain. People of Velachery - During the floods in chennai in 2015, all the vehicles parked there were submerged due to the rainwater entering the residences in Velachery area. So, after that, whenever it rains heavily in chennai, the people of Velachery area park their four-wheelers in a row on the side of the Velachery bridge. They still do that.
