Rainfall alerts in Chennai: water enters into the houses since 2015
Weather models predict heavy rains on november 10th and 11th in chennai making the city fear floods the same as in 2015. The Weather Department has informed on Sunday, heavy rains are expected in the coming weeks due to the low pressure formed in the areas of the Bay of Bengal. This pressure may move into the Northern parts of tamilnadu later this week. The government has said that there were no alerts on the rainfall given on saturday and it is even reported it was due to a lack of good weather radar. This is due to some technical difficulties and the National Institute of Ocean Technology(NIOT) is under testing. Many officials have even asked about this before the rainfall. The radar remains offline due to trigger problems.

The latest weather report has stated that the recent low pressure formed has to be watched very keenly and cyclone may or may not be formed in the short time.

But heavy rainfall during this week is also a threat for many districts in tamilnadu and also informed us to stay safe about it. Due to the heavy rainfall in many districts, water has entered into the houses of chennai ever since 2015 due to improper drainage systems. During the last 24 hrs, over 168mm of rainfall has been recorded in India.
