Pay back 1178 Crores to Tamil Nadu - CM Stalin writes to PM Modi

SIBY JEYYA
Prime minister Narendra Modi has been urged by chief minister stalin to distribute the rest of Rs 1,178 crore under the mahatma gandhi National Employment Guarantee Scheme as soon as possible. He wrote to the prime minister yesterday, saying, "The mahatma gandhi National Employment Guarantee Scheme is one of the greatest social security schemes in the world, guaranteeing a maximum of 100 days of physical labour to every household in rural areas every financial year."

Due to non-release of funds for the project, Rs 1,178.12 crore has not been released as of november 1. In addition, the mahatma gandhi National Employment Guarantee Scheme is seen as a viable source of income in rural areas. Thousands of rural people are currently suffering as a result of wage delays. In light of the holiday season, swift action should be done to release funds so that they can receive their wages. I am confident that you will recognise the logic behind my request and take appropriate action.

MK stalin, the chief minister of tamil Nadu, today lay the foundation stone for a Rs 142.16 crore project in tamil Nadu to construct 3,510 new flats for Sri Lankan Tamils.
