Big Billion sales of Govt Sectors...? BJP owned Private Sectors?
Prime minister Modi has explained the recent sale of state-owned enterprises to the private sector. With the bjp in power for the second time in a row, it has been announced that the government will sell its stake in PSUs to the private sector in the current year's budget. The state-owned air india was recently sold to the Tata Group.
Speaking at the inauguration of the indian Space Association, prime minister Modi said, “Changes are being made in the indian aerospace industry and technology. The government is moving forward with a clear policy on public sector companies. Only public sector companies that do not need to be handled by the government are given to the private sector”.
According to S. venkatesh MP, if 171 Public Sector Units operating under the central government are operating at a profit, then What is the truth behind this sale? Union Finance minister Bhagwat Kishanrao Karat answered the question on october 10th.
The Minister’s responses highlighted the good functioning of public sector enterprises. Then Why does the government always claim as the justification for privatization and share sale? So the truth is, the government is running at a loss.
