Only Lady Teachers in Girls School? Dumb or Better Decision?
Recently, the sexual harassment issue from PSBB school in chennai created ripples in the media. The shocking confession made the teacher Rajagopalan has kindled the fire among several parents. This even forced a question on the lives of girl children who are studying in that school. More than 4 teachers have been arrested and the inquiry is still being conducted by the police personnel.
In this case, tamil Nadu Educational minister Anbil Magesh has confessed that the government is planning to appoint only lady teachers for Girls' schools and this would be done to eradicate the sexual harassment crimes. This is receiving both praises and critics from the tamil people. If you look at both sides of the coin this is a boon as well as a bane for the government and the people. This would result in more unemployment.
Just because someone has done a heinous crime, doesn't mean every male teacher has to be like that. At the same time, if you see the other side, parents who have girl children will be relieved to send their kids to school having only lady teachers. As these days, most of them are taking tuition and online classes, parents can't keep an eye on their girl children all the time. It would be better if the TN government analyze this situation before taking a final decision.
