PM Modi's Jacket Made in Karur..!? What's Special?
 While addressing the debate on the motion of thanks to the President's address in Parliament, PM Modi wore a jacket made from recycled pet bottle plastic fabric. The suit is manufactured by Renga Polymers located in Karur. This dress is designed using fabric made from 28 pet bottles. The company said that its market value is 2000 rupees. At the india Energy Week held in Bengaluru, Karnataka, indian oil corporation presented this dress made from recycled plastic bottles to prime minister Modi. This is what prime minister Modi wore to Parliament.
Senthil Shankar, Managing director of Karur-based Srirenga Polymers, which produced the fabric for prime minister Modi's jacket, explained in detail to us.
Srirenga Polymers sent 9 different colored garments made from recycled pet bottles to indian Oil Corporation. A special jacket was given to the prime minister in his favorite color.
He said that 15 to 25 pet bottles are required to make such a jacket. No watercolor is used for these dresses. First, the fiber is prepared, then it is converted into cloth, and finally, the garment is made. Different from the conventional dyeing process, the dyeing of the fabrics lasts longer.
