devineni Umamaheshwar Rao, a senior telugu desam party official and former minister whose contentious post against Jana Sena party president and power star pawan kalyan landed him in hot water, attempted to clarify it by claiming it was a false post. Devineni's social media handle published a post this morning with some unpleasant comments on pawan kalyan and his Jana Sena Party. The piece discussed Pawan Kalyan's three alternatives for forming an alliance with the tdp and the BJP.

"The options presented to us by these sannasis (idiots) who couldn't win even a single seat remind us of a proverb about a person who can't jump up to touch the hanging pot (utti) but claims to be able to touch the sky," it said. Obviously, the post was referring to Pawan Kalyan's offer of an alliance to the TDP. devineni sparked a political firestorm by inadvertently referring to Pawan as a "sannasi." By the afternoon, the post had vanished from social media, but it had gone viral and was extensively distributed in the media.
Ambati Rambabu, a spokesman for the ysr congress party and a minister, quickly picked it up and attacked Devineni. Ambati asked devineni on social media if he had the courage to declare that he removed the post on his own (fearing wrath from Pawan's admirers). devineni later claimed that his social media handle had been hacked and that it was a phoney post by YSRC social media staff.
