Select Maruti Suzuki dealerships have reopened for business
After a horrid april, during which a total of zero cars were sold nationwide, here’s some good news. Select car dealers have opened shutters, paving the way for a return to normalcy at a time when the nation is in the grip of the COVID-19 pandemic. More showrooms are expected to open in green zones and safe pockets across the country.
One of the first big maruti Suzuki dealers to restart operations is Indus Motors in kerala, which operates several Arena and Nexa dealerships. The dealer has already begun home delivery of new vehicles, as can be seen in the image above, showing the delivery of a new S-Presso hatchback. More showrooms are expected to open in green zones and safe pockets across the country in accordance to the new guidelines laid down by the Ministry of home Affairs (MHA) for Lockdown 3.0.
maruti Suzuki had earlier announced new showroom safety norms that cover facility sanitisation, personnel management, and even new protocols for test drives and vehicle delivery. How soon buyers return to showrooms and the demand for new vehicles will both determine the scale at which vehicle manufacture will operate.
