Hero Cycles Announces Appointment of Anadi Pande as Director
Hero Cycles, the world’s largest cycle manufacturer by volume, today announced a senior level executive appointment as part of its commitment to adhere to and exceed the best standards of corporate governance and professionalism in the industry. Dr. Anadi Pande, a well—known industry leader with over 32 years of professional and world-class experience, is an acknowledged expert in strategic management. He joins Hero Cycles as “Director, Corporate Strategy & Corporate HR”.
Dr. Pande brings with him a rich experience from both academic and corporate fields. He spent his last seven years as a Professor in Strategic Management at IIM Lucknow, where he was twice honored as the best teacher.He has previously worked with L&T, Hero MotoCorp Ltd. & Tata Motors Ltd. Dr. Pande has devoted 25 years to strategy& human resource management. Amongst his notable achievements is the successful Honda Licensing deal of 2010 in which he was the lead negotiator. At TML, he became one of the youngest managers through fast track selection scheme.

Dr. Pande is a swimming enthusiast and is deeply interested in Indian philosophy. Hero Cycles, the world’s largest bicycle manufacturer has been growing at a rapid pace despite slowing growth rate of demand for cycles in India. Hero Cycles saw record sales of 5.39 lakh units in September, a rise of 15 percent in unit terms, over the corresponding month last year. The company now holds a staggering 41 percent share in the Indian bicycle market.
