Javed Akhtar Prevails, Kangana Dismissed.!
Bollywood actress kangana ranaut faced a setback in the bombay high court as her plea seeking a stay in the defamation case filed by lyricist javed akhtar was dismissed. The court rejected Kangana's request to merge the cross cases and clarified that proceedings cannot be stopped or combined since kangana did not identify them as cross cases.
The court emphasized that javed akhtar had filed the complaint first, and relief could not be granted at this stage. The legal dispute originated from Kangana's allegations in an interview, where she claimed that javed akhtar had threatened her and her sister rangoli at his house following a controversy involving her relationship with bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan. The defamation case, initiated three years ago, accused kangana of damaging Javed Akhtar's reputation.
While the defamation case filed by javed akhtar against kangana is ongoing before the Magistrate in Andheri, the Sessions court had earlier stayed Kangana's complaint against him. The recent developments in the bombay high court further complicated the legal proceedings for Kangana.
