Sai Pallavi - Q&A Session - Part 2
The character's unpolishedness She was completely unfiltered. She was like the malleable sand that can be used for anything. She can either be transformed into a doll or a weapon. She possessed certain ideologies that may be transformed. The writing's candour impressed me.
What unique perspective did Rana bring to the movie with his entrance?
Venu approached sudhakar and Sridhar, two producers, first. Then I joined the ship. Rana also read the script at that time, and suresh Babu joined as another producer. He thought the writing was good and wanted to play Ravanna. He greatly increased the data-size of the film. I was even more appreciative that he agreed to.
Tell us about your time spent working with Rana and the lessons you took away from him?
I discovered the extent to which a film's scale can be altered. I could only do so much, in my vision and in my ideas. But until someone like Rana arrived and showed me that, I realised that you can take something beyond what is written on paper. That trait I picked up from him. He's living the dream of every actor. He picks characters that are distinct from one another.
You have a spiritual side. How did you mentally get into the mindset of a communist?
Spirituality, in my opinion, has nothing to do with that. vennela is a fairly typical young lady. I have to think like a Devadasi when I play one. The same is true of Vennela, the character.
Have you seen any resemblance between sai pallavi and the character from Vennela?
We both love or view love in the same manner. But she makes an attempt and takes action. However, I don't make the same attempts.
