For the past several days, there is news in the media circles that South actor Vijay Verma is going to make his debut in Cannes this year. Vijay Verma himself disclosed about not having his debut. In fact, when a media portal shared the news of the actor leaving for the French city on its twitter handle, wrote, 'Vijay varma is ready for his first ear!' So the actor himself corrected the portal and revealed that he made his Cannes debut 10 years back from today i.e. in 2013 itself. Sharing a picture from ten years before the world premiere of his film 'Monsoon Shootout', the actor tweeted.
To correct the misinformation being spread in the media, vijay varma took to his twitter account and shared a picture from the red carpet of the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Sharing his picture, vijay varma wrote, 'This is not my first time. I made my Cannes debut in 2013 with the film Monsoon Shootout. I am going to walk the red carpet of Cannes again after a decade. Let me tell you, 'Monsoon Shootout' was an action thriller film directed by amit Kumar. Besides vijay varma, the film also starred geetanjali Thapa, Sreejita De, nawazuddin siddiqui and tannishtha chatterjee in lead roles.
On the work front, Vijay Verma is currently seen in the crime drama series 'Dahad' in the role of serial killer anand Swarnakar. In this character, Vijay is looting a lot of praise from the fans for his performance. The Prime Video show, created by Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar, also stars Sonakshi Sinha, gulshan devaiah and sohum shah in pivotal roles.
